Zen Master’s Ski-to-Live ClinicResorts West and Kristen Ulmer partner with Genpo Roshi to combine skiing and big mind teachings at Deer Valley Resort, Utah.
Big mind Zen teachings are combined with skiing instruction to create a unique Ski-to-Live Clinic at Deer Valley Resort.
And, now for something completely different in skiing. A program that goes far beyond Zen and the art of ski technique. Resorts West, a premier Utah property management company, has partnered with world-renowned big mountain skier, Kristen Ulmer, to present Ski to Live, an all-inclusive ski clinic that combines Zen awareness with on-mountain ski instruction, in the luxurious atmosphere of Deer Valley Resort in Park City, Utah. Each night, guests are invited to participate in Big Mind gatherings with Genpo Roshi, a preeminent Zen master. Roshi will share his unique and revolutionary approach of transmitting the authentic teachings that emerged from Buddha’s enlightenment experience. He has more than 30 years of teaching experience, and has assisted thousands to achieve profound personal insights and a higher level of illumination. Said Joe Ballstaedt, Resorts West CEO, "We’ve always been dedicated to the lifestyle of the mountain and committed to providing our clients with phenomenal experiences and service, and this unique clinic combines that higher form of living and understanding in a way we’ve never seen or done before." The first Ski to Live clinic at Deer Valley Resort runs April 5 – 8, 2007. Cost is $3,990. Guests will reside in luxurious accommodations at Red Stag Lodge (a Resorts West property), and will be treated to gourmet meals, yoga lessons and spa services, and professional ski instruction by Deer Valley staff, as well as daily runs with Kristen Ulmer. For more information or reservations, contact Bill Wilson with Resorts West at 1-800-541-9378 or visit www.resortswest.com/skitolive.
