Older skiers can improve their skiing skills and make new friends at Diamond Peak's senior ski clinics, offered three times during the 2006-07 ski season.

Diamond Peak offers ski clinics for seniors 55 years of age and up.

The class is offered for those who want to improve their ability, whether they are new to the slopes or advanced skiers already. Lead by Diamond Peak’s senior instructors, these classes teach techniques and movement patterns that are both more efficient and easier on the body.

All clinics consist of a morning "meet and greet" followed by a two-hour ski lesson.

All skiers age 55 and up interested meet at the Loft Bar of the main lodge between 9:15 and 9:30 a.m. to join the instructors for coffee, tea and a basic pastry before hitting the slopes at 10 a.m.

The price per clinic is $30 or $47 for a clinic and lift ticket.

Clinics will be held on January 20, 2007, February 9, 2007, March 16, 2007.

For more information about the clinics, call 775-832-1130 or email jon_tekulve@ivgid.org.
