Is there an antidote to the high cost of skiing and snowboarding?
Apparently in New Hampshire there is.
Pats Peak, with 22 runs is one of New Hampshire’s smaller ski and snowboard resorts (although it does have 10 lifts), which is one of the reasons it’s an excellent family snowsports destination. And, just to make the venue more attractive to moms and dad (and kids, too, we suppose), they offer a unique and affordable Pay-One-Price (POP) Program.
For $29 per person, guests gain access to skiing, snowboarding, snowtubing, lesson tips, rentals, bonfires, and entertainment on all Saturday nights from December 30, 2006 through the ski season’s 2007 end.
POP ski/ride hours are from 3 p.m. to 10 pm. Snowtubing hours are from 5 pm to 10 pm.
"Pats Peak is the place to be on Saturday nights," says Kris Blomback, General Manager of Pats Peak. "POP opens up everything the mountain has to offer, giving guests the chance to try new activities and have a great time. The price makes it a very affordable night out for couples or families."
The Sled Pub is open on Saturday nights until midnight, with live music until 9 p.m. and food service until 10:30 pm.
Pats Peak’s night skiing covers on over 95% of the mountain, including beginner through expert trails. Actually, it’s New Hampshire's largest night skiing facility, and features the state’s only beginner night skiing/riding run.
One Pats patron at the Boston Ski Show characterized Saturday night POP as "an absolute riot—everyone’s out there doing everything there is to do on the hill. It’s a lot of fun."
Being located 20 minutes from Concord, 40 minutes from Manchester, and just 90 minutes from Boston, means a lot of folks can readily take advantage of this cool and affordable, weekly Saturday event.
