More than 100 ski buses each week bring skiers and snowboarders to Mt. Hood Meadows Ski Area for skiing and snowboarding.

Busses run on weekends and midweek, serving every neighborhood throughout the greater Portland, Oreron, and Vancouver, Washington, metropolitan area, picking up at schools, churches and community centers.

Weekend bus trips are offered on consecutive Saturdays or Sundays in January or February, while midweek trips package consecutive Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Mt. Hood Meadows also offers structured ski and snowboard programs and packages to coincide with the bus schedule.

The buses are chaperoned to provide assistance to riders both on the bus and once they arrive at the ski area. The multi-week sessions range in length from four to eight weeks and packages include lift tickets, lessons and equipment rentals.

Weekend (consecutive Saturday or Sunday) programs include Sno-Blasters for elementary school age—four hours of on snow instruction each day with supervision before, between and after the sessions. Chaperones attend to these young skiers and snowboarders, accompanying them from the bus through the rental shop and on to the Sno-Blaster room where they meet their instructors.

Middle school aged skiers and snowboarders join Trailblazers – which packages a two hour lesson each day with lift tickets and rentals. There are also high school and adult packages available.

The January sessions began Saturday, January 6 and Sunday, January 7. February sessions begin Saturday, February 3 and Sunday, February 4.

Mt. Hood Meadows offers adult bus programs on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in January and February. Most adults riding the buses sign up for six or eight week sessions in advance to receive the best pricing on lift ticket, lesson and equipment rental packages.

The midweek bus program began more than 30 years ago and is a great way to join up with and discover ski and snowboard buddies.

A complete schedule of weekend and midweek neighborhood bus programs can be found at the resort web site www.skihood.com.
